Orientation Center for the Blind

About

The Orientation Center for the Blind, commonly called OCB, is operated by the California Department of Rehabilitation.

It is a residential rehabilitation facility that helps adults adjust to blindness and develop the skills needed for employment, education, independent living, and community participation.

Training is individualized according to each participant’s needs and goals.

Who They Serve

Eligible adults who are blind or visually impaired and need comprehensive blindness rehabilitation. Admission is generally coordinated through a California Department of Rehabilitation counselor.
