“Lighthouse” organizations are independent, community-based nonprofits found throughout Florida and across the country that provide vision rehabilitation, education, and support services to people who are blind or visually impaired. Each Lighthouse operates locally and serves its own city or region, though many offer similar programs such as independent living skills training, low vision services, orientation and mobility instruction, assistive technology training, and support for children, working-age adults, and seniors.
