About This School
Founded in 1939, Leader Dog empowers people who are blind or have low vision with lifelong skills for safe, independent travel. In addition to guide dogs, Leader Dog was the first organization to offer orientation and mobility (O&M) instruction and the first guide dog program for people who are DeafBlind. All programs are provided free of charge, including instruction, equipment, room and board, and travel to campus.
Programs and Services
Guide dog training and matching, orientation and mobility instruction (with or without a dog), a teen summer camp and teen O&M program, and Spanish-language instruction for clients in the United States and Canada.
