The library also operates an Instructional Materials Center that provides accessible classroom materials for Iowa students.
Who They Serve
Eligible Iowa residents who cannot use standard print because of:
Blindness
Low vision
A physical disability
A qualifying perceptual or reading disability
Temporary disabilities may also qualify when current eligibility requirements are met.
This program provides accessible reading materials statewide and serves both leisure readers and students.
Its connection with the Iowa Department for the Blind also makes it easier for patrons experiencing vision loss to learn about other IDB rehabilitation programs.
