The Illinois Assistive Technology Program, commonly called IATP, is Illinois’s statewide Assistive Technology Act program.
IATP provides information, demonstrations, device loans, equipment-reuse services, training, accessibility assistance, and other assistive-technology resources.
Services are designed to help people use technology successfully in education, employment, community living, and everyday activities.

Demonstration Center
IATP operates a Demonstration Center where Illinois residents can explore a wide variety of assistive technology.
Demonstrations may help people compare devices and make informed decisions before purchasing equipment.
Virtual demonstrations may also be available when an in-person visit is not practical.
Device Loans
IATP provides free short-term device loans.
Current program information generally describes device loans as approximately six weeks unless otherwise specified.
Borrowers may use the program to:
Try equipment before purchasing
Compare devices
Use temporary equipment while another device is being repaired
Use equipment while waiting for a permanent device
