About This School
Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) is one of the largest guide dog schools in the world, having graduated nearly 18,000 client teams from across the United States and Canada since it was founded in 1942. GDB is an accredited member of the International Guide Dog Federation and provides all services completely free of charge, relying entirely on donor support rather than government funding.
Programs and Services
Guide dog training and matching, an in-residence training program at either campus, a K9 Buddy program pairing dogs with children who are blind, orientation and mobility immersion training, youth programs, and lifelong graduate support.

People who are blind or visually impaired throughout the United States and Canada who are interested in navigating with the help of a guide dog, as well as families of children who could benefit from a K9 Buddy companion dog.
