California residents who cannot read or use standard printed materials because of blindness, low vision, a physical disability, or another qualifying print disability may receive free accessible library services through the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled network.
California is served through regional and subregional library programs, including the California State Library Braille and Talking Book Library, the Braille Institute Library, and the San Francisco Public Library Talking Books and Braille Center.
The appropriate library depends on where the individual lives.
Eligible California residents who have blindness, low vision, a physical disability that prevents reading or handling printed materials, or another qualifying print disability. An application and certification of eligibility may be required.
