Accessing Potential Through Assistive Technology, commonly called APTAT, is Alabama’s Assistive Technology Act Program. It helps people of all ages explore and access assistive technology through demonstrations, short-term device loans, training, reutilization and funding guidance.
APTAT also maintains an online equipment database where visitors can search for used and available assistive technology devices throughout Alabama.
Alabamians of all ages who could benefit from exploring, trying or obtaining assistive technology, including individuals who are blind, visually impaired, or living with other disabilities.
