The Independent Living Older Blind Program is administered through the Arizona Rehabilitation Services Administration.
The program assists eligible individuals who are blind or visually impaired with developing skills and identifying adaptive equipment that may help them remain independent.
Unlike vocational rehabilitation, which focuses primarily on employment, this program focuses on everyday independence at home and in the community.
The program primarily serves older Arizona residents who are blind or visually impaired, experience difficulty completing everyday activities because of vision loss, and need assistance maintaining or increasing their independence. Visitors should contact the program directly to confirm current age, residency, vision, and eligibility requirements.
Statewide throughout Arizona.

This program is valuable for people experiencing blindness or vision loss who are not primarily seeking employment but need assistance traveling safely, managing their homes, communicating, using adaptive technology, and completing everyday activities independently.
