Assistive Technology for Kansans

Assistive Technology for Kansans helps people explore and obtain technology for learning, working, communication, daily living, recreation, and community participation.

About

Assistive Technology for Kansans, commonly called ATK, is Kansas’s statewide Assistive Technology Act program.

The program is coordinated by the University of Kansas.

ATK serves people of all ages with disabilities or health conditions and operates through regional Assistive Technology Access Sites throughout Kansas.

ATK follows a “try before you buy” philosophy that allows people to explore technology before making purchasing decisions.

Services May Include

Short-term loans are generally designed for approximately four to six weeks.

Equipment Reuse

ATK’s Kansas Equipment Exchange and reuse programs help Kansans locate quality used or refurbished equipment.

Some qualifying refurbished durable medical equipment may be provided at no cost.
