Why We Recommend This Resource

Project Independence is particularly valuable for people who experience blindness or significant vision loss later in life. Unlike vocational rehabilitation, employment does not need to be the person’s primary goal. The program focuses on practical skills, technology, mobility, peer support, and strategies that can help older adults remain independent and active.
