Why We Recommend This Resource
Centers for Independent Living are different from many traditional disability-service agencies because they emphasize consumer choice, peer support, self-advocacy, and independence.
DCCIL can be particularly helpful for someone trying to locate local disability resources, learn independent-living skills, advocate for themselves, or connect with other people with disabilities.
